Green Thumb
Maybe it's spring but I'm embracing green. For the
first time I am loving the idea of a foliage filled home. I don't have a green thumb but I have managed not to
kill a couple of plants. Now that I have a little confidence, the idea
of a green filled home
seems like a reality. I am starting to think that maybe there is a
little CZ Guest in me after all.

Joyeux Anniversaire
This past weekend I hosted a dinner party for the Frenchman's birthday. I think it's been about 3 years since I've had the space to do a legit party so I went a little crazy ironing the napkins, but it was a great night of tequila shots, tacos and water balloons.
Dining chairs from my childhood get a new life
Happy Birthday balloons in every cup turned into water balloons
Ikea dishtowels doubled as napkins
A bar by the front door for easy libations
The table is set
Birthday Banner made from wrapping paper and lots of glue
Bar cleanup the next morning
Lonely limes leftover
Welcome Home
After a year in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn with the cat and the Frenchman, I am feeling so at home in our significantly larger place in LA.
As a designer I was ready for the challenge of unpacking all of our 50+ boxes and getting to work, but at some point in that process I let go of what I wanted our home to be and let it just be home.

Objet. Espadrilles
I have included my beloved Soludos in a couple of posts, but my obsession has become borderline. I have loved my dear espadrilles since The Farris gave me a pair last summer. Since my move to NYC I have cherished their chic, understated comfort. In a place where you have to commute on a train and walk blocks and blocks in a pair of shoes, it can be incredibly difficult to find appropriate footwear. I have abandoned my heels and Stubbs for my Soludos and have begun a systematic conversion within my group of friends.
Just ordered these.

Mes Coups de Coeur.
I spent Sunday on Smith Street drinking vin, eating yummy French treats and watching Bar Tabac's Petanque tournament. All of the stripes, head scarves and je ne sais quoi got me to pondering all things French. Here are a few of my favorites. xo

Haricot Vert.
I was at a wedding this weekend and the fresh brightness of the green bouquets stuck in my brain. I wanted to celebrate a color that I tend steer clear of in my own wardrobe and interiors, but now I'm rethinking it all because this color is wonderfully joyful.

Goodbye Los Angeles. . .
Farris-Gilbert is undergoing a scenery change. I've officially moved to New York. I've been busy setting up shop and home for the Frenchman and I but I will be getting back to blogging and life soon. I'm excited to bring you some favorites from my new coast so stay in touch. . . xoxo
